Certain infantry may be forced to run even when in the open, elite infantry may have grenades or molotovs, and so on. Each unit type also has special abilities that can be called upon. Instead, they do it all automatically, if fired upon they will lay down and proceed slowly, if well covered, they will take out open enemy with an ease while gaining experience and becoming more elite. You are focusing more on placing your infantry to a proper cover than just clicking to attack enemy units. Company of Heroes 2 keeps the gameplay very similar to that of its predecessors.
